Welcome to the home page of the
CORNHUSKER FLYERS TRACK CLUB
The Cornhusker Flyers are a USA Track & Field
Nebraska Association member youth club,
offering an opportunity for boys and girls ages 18 and younger in the
Omaha metropolitan area to participate in the sports of track & field
and cross country. Our track & field season runs from April
to July and our cross country
season runs from September to December. To learn more about the Flyers track program, see our

54 Flyers competed in 132 events at the
Region 8 Junior Olympic Championships
at Harry A. Burke High School in Omaha from Thursday, July 3 to Sunday, July 6.
Flyer athletes placed in 54 of 132 events, including 9 bronze, 13 silver, and 13 gold.
Regional champions were:
• Kenton Kobza, 17-18 Boys discus throw
• Liam Hennessy, 17-18 Boys hammer throw
• Shae Spady, 17-18 Girls 2000 meter steeplechase
• Lauren Doeschot, 17-18 Girls hammer throw
• Jacob Ralston, 15-16 Boys 3000 meter run
• John Slagle, 15-16 Boys 2000 meter steeplechase
• Jared Bledsoe-Jacob Ralston-John Slagle-Isaac Werner, 15-16 Boys 4x800 meter relay
• Maximiliam Murrell, 11-12 Boys high jump
• Isabel Reutzel, 11-12 Girls 1500 meter race walk
• Camden Ralston, 9-10 Boys 1500 meter run
• Katharine Beachler, 8 & Under Girls shot put
• Katharine Beachler, 8 & Under Girls mini-javelin throw
The 54 total medals were the
most of any club in the region!

are competing in track & field, cross country, and other sports at colleges and
universities across the country. (If any names are missing,
let us know.)

27 Flyer kids competed in 53 events at the 2014
Nebraska and Iowa state track meets, winning a total of 29 medals,
including 2 bronze, 4 silver, and 8 gold!
