Welcome to the home page of the
CORNHUSKER FLYERS TRACK CLUB
The Cornhusker Flyers are a USA Track & Field
Nebraska Association member youth club,
offering an opportunity for boys and girls ages 18 and younger in the
Omaha metropolitan area to participate in the sports of track & field
and cross country. Our track & field season runs from April
to July and our cross country
season runs from September to December. To learn more about the Flyers track program, see our

Flyer athletes: It is time to return your uniform to
Andrea Otte.
If you bought shorts and a club T-shirt, you can keep them.
The jersey and warmups (top and bottom) need to be washed in cold water and hung to dry.
Please help Ms. Otte out by safety pinning the following information on the outside of the uniform bag:
1) Name (most important!) -- 2) Any problems with the uniform? -- 3) Will you be a Flyer next year?
5 Flyers competed at the
National Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships
at Whispering Pines Golf Course in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Saturday, December 10.
Flyer results: IG Rebekah Topham - 5th, YM Timothy Metcalf - 8th, YB Justin Liedke - 33rd, MB Jared Bledsoe - 207th, YB Aaron Metcalf - 216th.

26 Flyers competed in 39 events at the
National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships
at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas from Tuesday, July 26 to Sunday, July 31.
Flyer athletes placed in 10 of 39 events, including 2 silver and 1 gold.
National champions were:

14 Flyer kids competed in 30 events at the
Nebraska and Iowa state track meets, winning a total of 23 medals,
including 4 bronze, 4 silver, and 8 gold -- 6 all-class!
34 former Flyers
are competing in track & field, cross country, and other sports at colleges and
universities across the country. (If any names are missing,
let us know.)
