Welcome to the home page of the
CORNHUSKER FLYERS TRACK CLUB
The Cornhusker Flyers are a USA Track & Field
Nebraska Association member youth club,
offering an opportunity for boys and girls ages 18 and younger in the
Omaha metropolitan area to participate in the sports of track & field
and cross country. Our track & field season runs from April
to July and our cross country
season runs from September to December. To learn more about the Flyers track program, see our

If you're ready to join for the summer,
here's what to do.
If you're not sure yet, then we invite you to attend a few
first (but please bring a completed
with you). If you have any questions about the Flyers, please feel free to ask any of our
Coaches & Volunteers.
We look forward to seeing you at practice!

All practices at Burke High School, 120th & Dodge, starting at 6:00 p.m., unless otherwise noted. Wednesday practices are followed by a team/parent meeting.

to see how your
2014 season best marks
16 Flyers competed in 25 events at the
National Junior Olympic Championships
at Humble High School in Humble, Texas from Monday, July 21 to Sunday, July 27.
Flyer athletes placed in 7 of 25 events, including 4 silver and 2 gold.
National JO medalists were:
• Rebekah Topham, 17-18G 800 meter run, 1st
• Rebekah Topham, 17-18G 1500 meter run, 1st
• Andy Vasquez, 15-16B 3000 meter race walk, 2nd
• Katelyn Gochenour, 15-16G discus throw, 2nd
• Katelyn Gochenour, 15-16G javelin throw, 2nd
• Kennedy Gochenour, 15-16G javelin throw, 6th
• Maximilian Murrell, 11-12B high jump, 2nd
The 2 gold and 4 silver medals were the
most of any club in the region!
The 7 total medals tied with the Bellevue Breeze for the most medals in the region. Complete Flyer results
27 Flyer kids competed in 53 events at the 2014
Nebraska and Iowa state track meets, winning a total of 29 medals,
including 2 bronze, 4 silver, and 8 gold!
